Start a Psi Sigma Phi Chapter at Your University

Your campus doesn't have a chapter yet. That isn't a dead end. It's an opportunity. Psi Sigma Phi is still growing, and the national office provides full support through every step of the colony process, from your first inquiry through chartering.

Who this page is for

You searched for PSP.
We weren't there yet.

If you're on a campus that doesn't have a Psi Sigma Phi chapter, you have two choices. Wait for someone else to bring it to you, or be the person who does. The men who started the Alpha Chapter in 1990 didn't find an existing organization to join. They built the one that was missing. That same founding energy is what drives every new chapter expansion today. This page is for men who are ready to lead from the front, before there's even a roster to lead.

How it works

Three steps to
bring PSP to your campus.

The process is straightforward. The commitment behind it is not. Here's what the first leg of the journey looks like.

Step one

Contact your campus Greek Advisor

Visit the Office of Student Activities on your campus. Ask for the handbook, pamphlet, or guidelines on establishing a new Greek organization. Every campus has its own process and knowing yours upfront makes everything that follows smoother.

Step two

Reach out to the National Expansion Team

Once you have your campus materials, email the National Expansion Representative to register your interest. Be ready to provide contact information for your Greek Life Advisor and any interested gentlemen on your campus who want to be part of the founding group.

Step three

The Expansion Team contacts you

A member of the national Expansion Team will follow up with you directly. From there, the team guides you through the colony process, the formal review, and the path toward chartering a fully recognized chapter of Psi Sigma Phi.

What to have ready before you fill out the questionnaire

Reaching out gets a faster response when you come prepared. Have the following on hand before you email:

  • Name and contact information for your campus Greek Life Advisor
  • Contact information for interested gentlemen on your campus who want to be part of the founding group
  • A copy of your campus's handbook or guidelines for establishing a new Greek organization
  • Your own contact information, including a preferred email and phone number
