Psi Sigma Phi: Information for Parents and Families
You want the best for him. So do we. This page is for you: what Psi Sigma Phi is, what we ask of our members, what we give them in return, and how to reach us if you have concerns.
A lifetime commitment done right.
The choices your son makes today will have a great impact on his life long after his undergraduate years are over. We believe that membership within Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. is one of the best decisions he can make.
We entrust ourselves to a lifetime of brotherhood, professionalism, cultural awareness, diversity, and community. These ideals guide our actions both as an organization and as individuals. Membership is not something a student does for four years and moves on from. It is a lifelong commitment to a set of values.
To become a brother, an individual must dedicate their time and sincere effort in devotion to brotherhood. We do not discriminate against those who seek membership. Our doors are open to any man who genuinely believes in and supports our purpose.
We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.
Franklin D. RooseveltOur non-hazing policy is absolute.
Psi Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc. does not permit its members to engage in any form of physical or mental harassment or brutality against any prospective member or any other fraternity member. This is not a policy we enforce selectively. It is a founding conviction of who we are.
Five pillars of member development.
Psi Sigma Phi provides every member access to structured programs across five development areas. These aren't optional enrichment activities. They are part of what it means to be a Phiman.
Leadership
Members take on real leadership roles within their chapter and the national organization, developing skills that carry directly into their careers and communities.
Multicultural Awareness
Structured programs that expand cultural understanding and build genuine respect across backgrounds. This is the core of what makes PSP different from any other Greek organization.
Academic Development
Academic excellence is required, not encouraged. Members must maintain a 2.5 GPA and participate in programs focused on academic achievement and study skills.
Community Service
Communal programs that give back to the communities around each chapter. Service is woven into the intake process and continues throughout a member's active life.
Professional Training
Career development workshops, networking opportunities, and professional mentorship through the alumni network prepare members for life beyond the campus.
