Our Legacy

Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Incorporated was co-founded at Montclair State University and New Jersey City University on December 12, 1990 and has managed to maintain its own identity among Greek-letter organizations.

Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. and its brotherhood are dedicated to the causes of academic excellence, service and multiculturalism.

Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. is a service-oriented, social, fraternity. The Fraternity is a non-profit 501 C-7 organization that is located in the United States of America and is headquartered in New Jersey.

The brothers of Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. commit themselves to the following purposes:

Academics

Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. exists, first and foremost, to ensure the academic success of college students, in both undergraduate and graduate programs. As an organization principally positioned in the space of higher education, we are devoted to assisting in the development of students in both the college/university campus and the community. A strong prominence is placed on academic excellence within our organization as manifested in our academic standards for prospective membership, active membership and chapter leadership. The works of our organization are proposed to optimistically affect the academic experience of our Knights and the community they serve. As the parents of prospective members, we want you to be certain that we take accountability for their academic achievement.

Brotherhood

“Our Sword is Education, Our Shield is Brotherhood, Our Armor is Multiculturalism…Our Steed is Service.” As Phimen we are a proud young organization. We strive to make a significant impact on society and our surrounding communities. Our brotherhood is contingent to our commitment to these mottos.

Leadership

Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity’s mission is to take a leadership role in our communities through cultural awareness, academic achievement and service. We persuade all parents to actively partake in your son’s evolution into becoming a leader. Phimen are leaders among their peers and in their communities. Being a Phimen comes with great accountability and all brothers are expected to carry out themselves with chivalry and respect at all times.

Service

Phimen dedicate themselves to the betterment of our communities through service. “We do because we can, we give because there is a need.” It is through the action of doing for or giving to others, that allows Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. remain true to its foundation.
